We will be placing a CM3.0 /ESS at one of our remote locations. Then when we get the main CM3/ESS up known as the "heatbeat" we will want to transfer liscense etc back to the main faicilty. Has anyone done this, have you ran into problems? Also, what is involved in the master/slave transition (procedure -moving stand alone to ESS)? Is a service interruption required?

Avaya is telling us lots of stuff I just want to know if anyone has dealt with it to date. Thanks so much! It's so hard to keep up with all the tech changes.

We are currently converting five of our locations to ESS and placing them under our 8710 cluster in our Corp HQ.

I am still knee deep in the process however I will say yes there is undoubtedly some outages that will need to be planned.

Depending upon your current config (What stand alone equipment is in place) you have various items involved. I could or would go into more detail if I knew the types of equipment you are converting from Stand alone to ESS etc.
