Does anyone know if the embedded Clustering feature is affected if the http server is disabled?
If the IOS is not the enterprise edition, is clustering still available? If so, how does the Enterprise edition affect the embedded clustering feature?
I am wondering if using the clustering features in a small shop is worth the trouble of setting up? My shop has 3 Catalyst 2950's loaded with copper GBIC modules. Currently, there are no VLANs other than default VLAN1.
Also, is the clustering feature better utilized with a Cisco Catalyst 3550-12G Switch as the master management switch of the cluster?
In addition, is their a specific design that is better than another when using copper GBIC modules when clustering is not being used that would provide maximum uptime?
I am thinking of expanding our network using VLANS with a router to allow the VLANs to communicate.
