Hi All

Can any one confirm how long does the CLS keeps the CLS CALLID tables on the system..

is it 5 yrs or 7 yrs..and does the data remain on the HD or gets archived on the tape

Many thnks for all in advance

Neil

This really depends on your CLS configuration. But I do remember that in de on the CLS in the application "Server Controller" In the toolmenu databse you can find the function retention period. This is a function that actually only should be set by a NICE-engineer. You can take a look at it but I would strongly advise to contact NICE or your reseller.

Home is were you end up when you've got nothing better to do

By default the database is 6GB and set to monthly retention for a period of 7 yrs. It is possible to change this but bear in mind that 1GB will store approx 1.5 - 2million call records (depending on pabx ticket length). Changing to weekly retention is best for large or very busy systems as this increases the search speed (a table containing a weeks calls is smaller than one with a months). The database always remains on the HDD but should be backed up to DDS3/4/5/AIT at around 2am every day or when the system is at it's most quiet (your maintainer should be checking or taking the backup away monthly/quarterly)
