Hi

I have inheritted a Meridian 11c and am quickly learning how to do basic tasks.

I need to set up some hunt groups and I know that I need to change some values in the CLS section but I am concerned before I use the CLS command that I will have to re-enter all of the values if I simply want to chnge one value.

My system is all live so testing is quite difficult so any help is appreciated

Andy

welcome to the merridian. one basic rule when making a change, if hunt is 7000, a return at that prompt does not change it..

to send a 2616 to mail (mail main dn 7000)

ld 11
chg
2616
4 3
echg yes
fdn 7000
cls hta fna mwa
hunt 7000
key 14 mwk 7000.

you only changed the line you type and cls marks can be changed one at a time.. even without a easy change, return past any commands you don't want to change. and add a display set so you can use it to test changes before working on a in use set..

Thanks for the quick responses,

Currently all digital phone have the value HTD in the CLS section.

Am I right in understanding that if I want to change that to HTA I need to renenter the whole line in the CLS section when I do a PRT of the TN?

Thanks
Andy

To allow hunting, chg HTD to HTA
as john said, just enter what you need to change

ld 11
chg
2616 (or 2006 or 2008 or 2216 or 3902 or 3903 etc)
TN 20 00 15 12 (or the tn of the set you working on)
echg yes
fdn 7000 (the voice mail DN)
cls hta fna mwa (HTA : A = allowed, HTD : D = denied)

Thanks All

I took the plunge and tsted on my own phone, - it all seems to work.

CLS : HTA
EHT : 636 (intenral no)
HUNT : 636

and it seems to work, next thig to master is multiple hunting and one number ringing several phones, but that is for another day :)

read the post on mcr, that is the best way for a dept number to appear and ring or just appear on several sets. works a little diff then scr, when i answer my key 0 mcr 4940, my key 1 mcr 4940 still rings in, as well as ringing on other sets with that same mcr 4940.. drawback, when i put it on hold, no one can pick it up except from my set. another set with mcr 4940 will show idle. i would need to transfer to 4940 for another set to answer that call
