I have a shared modem on COM4 that remains busy after the line has been dropped and the call completed.

I want to close the port or disconnect the modem. But the problem is that the port is being used by an independent dialer porgram. Therefore I wan't to know a way of closing a port that is currently in use by another program.

Any suggestions would help
