Close IE = logout SPS ??

Hi there,

As I access SPS2003 server via IE, when I close IE, is it equal to logout SPS2003 server?

If yes, can I set "close IE not equal to logout SPS" so that if I hit the site again, I don't need to type in the login credentials again?
