Close Form from Lost Focus()....

After a text field has lost focus I am automatically updating the table. But I also need the form to close.

I have tried

DoCmd.Close
DoCmd.RunCommand acCloseForm

What am I missing?

You probably can't close a form while it is runign code to close itself. I think you wil get an error
try this
DoCmd.Close yourFormNameHere
If you get an error then you have to run a macro first to open the form and close it.
