I want to make sure that my backupserver catches all the open files on the server. I have an open file manager but it still misses a few things. Is there a way to kill all the connections except the backupserver's so I can do a full dump once a week.

Search the net for NETOFF.NLM. There is an early version that does just this (and more).

You can schedule a cron job to run the console command "CLEAR STATION ALL" That will kill all the active connections.

Sorry, read the above a little more carefuly. Clear station all will kill *all* connections.

You can load Toolbox, then use the AUTH utility to connect the backup server to the fileserver you are backing up.
