Clipper program not shuting down in NT(END TASK TO CLOSE)

I have a PII or PIII with NT SP6a running a small Clipper program and the program runs fine until a quit or <ESC> key is pressed to exit. The program just freezes and I have to END TASK the app to close. Any thoughts on this would be great. I am at the final hour before deep sixing the program.
