Clipper & E-Mail

Is there anyway that Clipper can send e-mail or do I have to recompile into another program? And if so, which compiler do you recommend?

You have a few options:
- 'Run' a sendmail like tool to send your mail out
- Get a lib that can handle mail for you, like Vouch32.lib (

- Switch to a more modern Clipper compiler like xHarbour (

I've use Blat:

and GetMail:

with great success. Blat's free and Getmail depends on its use.

There is also a product called mailsend. Not sure where you can download it but a google search on mailsend should bring it up.
