I am having trouble with IP Office 500v2 v8.0 and audio clipping. I have spent the last week searching this forum for all related issues and have come up with nothing.

The issue only occurs when on speakerphone on a 9508 and can be heard by both parties. If I unplug the phone in question and plug it back in the issue is resolved for a few days.

We are using all DS 9508 phones and a few older 5400 series phones. All phones are running Rel 0.38. I have not been able to test a call internal to internal yet, which might help answer some more questions as well.

The issue has occurred on multiple different phones and I have traced them all back to different DS cards and expansion modules. No errors seen in Monitor and no errors on the PRI lines. The only recent changes were the addition of two new DS30 expansions in which the system upgraded automatically.

Anyone have any ideas or places to look for any tips or answers?

Upgrade to the latest version of 8.0
This will update the firmware on the phones to R45.
If you are still having problems after this upgrade
Turn off echo cancellation on the individual phones.

The home key is between the contact and the history button.

Turn off the Echo Canceller feature:
• Press Home
• Select Advanced Options
• Select Audio
• Select Echo Canceller
• Press Change
• Press Save
