clipboard font issue in Outlook

We have an odd thing happening.....when we copy and paste a block of text that is in a particular font (Garamond) from a Word document into an Outlook email, the font transfers fine for the first email. But then when we copy and paste the clipboard contents from the Office clipboard into a 2nd, 3rd and so on email, the text reverts to Arial. We do have the default fonts set in Outlook to be Garamond.

Does anyone know why this happens and is there a way around it??
