Can I install Clip art from the Cd onto a server to access it over the network? I know I could just insert the CD and share it but id rather not have the Cd in the server, just the Clip art. Anyone any ideas?

My experience is that Clip Art file can be treated like any other files - i.e. you can copy them from the CD to either your PC or to a server.

As Clip Art, you probably don't want to modify the images, in which case you won't need to change the properties of the files.

However, whenever copying files from a CD, it's important to remember that the files are "Read Only". Therefore, if you DO want to be able to modify such files after coping them from the CD, you need to:
a) select the files,
b) Right-Click and Choose "Properties",
c) de-select "Read Only".

Hope this helps.

Les.

Copy the files from the CD to a share on the server then in word you need to change the default location of the clip art using Tools-Options-File locations.

hope this helps.

ASCII stupid question, get a stupid ANSI!

Thanks so much but where is the Clip Art on the CD? It isn't obvious although I know it must be there on CD 1?
