I have a SB Win2k3 server with around 10
clients attached. Two interns came into
today with their own laptops. 1 of the
machines is allready part of her schools
domain. The second laptop is just a regular
workgroup setup. This is the problem,

I've added the users to the domain so that
they could have access to the shares. I created
a shortcut to that server on the desktop and
tried to gain access to the server shares, but a
username and password screen comes up. So i fill
in the username and pass as it is on the server but
it just pops up the same screen with this
Username: machine name/useraccount
Password: ******

and I don't ever gain access to the shares. The
same is happening on each computer, could someone tell
me the problem and the solution for this.......

Thanks in advance

in the authentication box type

user:yourdomainname\username (
password:*****

This will list the shares on a PC even if you are logging on from an untrusted PC.
