I have worked through upgrading a test NT 4 network to Win2K Active Directory using the Temp Server Method (Install NT 4 as BDC, take off network, upgrade to Win2K, Take NT 4 PDC off of network, plug Temp Server into network, run DCPROMO on real Win2K Server). That went well . . .

My question is, even with Sysvols being the same on the Temporary Win2K as they are on the real Win2K Server, I can not get my client to run any of the real Win2K Server's Sysvol scripts. The only scripts I can run are those on the Temporary Server. How can I get my clients to run the scripts from another Win2K DC?

Thanks,
Rob

what sort of scripts? logon scripts? Check path for the user in AD - probably pointing at the wrong server.

Yes logon scripts. What do I do, just put a URL in front of the name of the script? I was hoping there would be a way for me to keep the name of the Logon Script only in the Users Profile tab, and that AD would attempt to find it on another server. I basically have two DC on this network, and I need the clients to be able to pull their logon script from whichever server they authenticate to.

Thanks,
Rob
