I used to work in priting an trust me I can vouch for all those type of requests...
Most common was doing local magazines. You'd sent them the A3 (or A4) layouts as they will be printed. Always we got, can the gap in the middle be smaller.
Or Page one is next to page 13 and page two is next to 12 etc...(don't do the Maths I made them up).
We gave up in the end and started to print one off copies, fold them, then send them off in the post.
Sigh.....
