Not sure this is the right place, but here goes.
Have an app that uses SQL via Citrix. When app prints it creates temp file in a specified folder we have set in the database. We now want to separate this further by changing the folder location to include the ClientName variable that Citrix uses so each individual PC has it's own folder?

If I understand correctly, you are storing a pointer record that holds the location of a folder location in a table and you want to add a clientname variable to that for each pc?

Then what do you want to do with it? Do you want to store each location or can you just refer to each location as

Location_var + clientname_var

In part yes, but a bit more complex than that. The database structure is set in stone as it's a third party App. The folder location entry is just a value against a pre-defined setup. The app when it fails seems to call just the text value ie \\server\folder\%clientname% so beginning to suspect it's the app that is not picking up that variable, as a cmd: echo \\server\folder\%clientname% works, but I just need to cover everything from a variable and sql\citirx point before I pass it back to the developers.
