Ive just reinstalled Citrix ICA client on 2 new laptops, and ive noticed that when i connect, i try connecting and it then drops the connection and then retrys.

I then have the reconnecting box appear about 40 times over a period of a minute.

anyone know what causes this ?

thanks

fine on other lappys etc

Faulty/incorrectly configured Nics ? Looks like somethings not right on the network side. I assume your existing clients don't have this problem.

well the error says , something about dial up networking etc.

I then get a disconect the reconnecting.

I found the application set fine, and i can connect to the domain fine lappy seems fine on everything BUT the citrix connis.

I,ll have to dig deeper

Are you using a mobile and bluetooth perchance ?

no hardwire on lan.

alls fine apart from that.

oK DID abit of digging and think ive found the issue but cant find the solution, When they connect i see on the citrix box, that it cant give out a terminal server licence.

Ive check the main 2 domain controllers and they have the normal Lic manager running with exchange and win 2003 lics all ok.

On the citrix box of which is standalone, i have added some windows licenses but still nothing. Now i dont remember going into terminal server ,manager and adding any when i first started ? would i have, Nothing changed on this server ?

thanks

Then do you have terminal server licensing installed an running with TSCALs (term. serv connection access licenses - not Windows connection licenses)installed?

Go to Administrative tools -> Terminal Server Licensing.

Hi,

It sounds like your Citrix Server can't see the Terminal Server Licensing Service. Which DC is that on? Have you put the name of the server in your registry?

Cheers,
Carl.
