Hello,
Does anyone know a method of shortening the name that is displayed when I have added a printer through finding in AD....
If I add a printer through an AD search then it is added with the FQDN of the server
eg printer on printserver.domain.subdom.net
whereas if I add the printer in the old way then the printer is simply called printer on printserver.
This is not too bad for my standard xp clients, but my citrix users end up with client\xxxxx\ in front of the printer name - and the applications only display the first so many characters of the printer name.....
I am aware the problem is probably due to windows - as citrix is purely mapping what the client machine gives it.....
any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks
