Client for MS Networks Disappears

I have a Windows 98 SE PC that has problems logging on to our NT 4.0 network. The problem is that in the properties of Network Neighborhood the Client for Microsoft Networks disappears after the PC is powered off. It's easy enough to add it back in but I can't figure out why it keeps disappearing.

Any ideas or more info needed?
