We have a remote client running XP who had to re-install his laptop after disk crash. Was running Citrix without issues prior to crash. Now, user can see his network drives, but cannot copy files from network drives to his client drive (V:). Error message is 'Cannot copy <file>. Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.' None of those apply. Looking through threads here and on Citrix site, we have checked all ini files for possible setting of GlobalSecurityAccess parameter and found none. We have right-clicked the ICA icon to look for Client security settings and not found that option, instead we see options to change window size and view connection status. User is running WinICA32 client. What else can we check? Thanks.

I am not sure if this will work for network mapped drives, but I wanted to let you know where to look for the client security settings.

Once the application or Citrix connection is launched the ICA icon should appear in the task tray to the left of the clock. Dbl click this icon and you should be presented with the program neighborhood connection center. From here click "CLIENT SECURITY SETTINGS" or "FILE SECURITY" depending on the PN versipon you have installed. You can then change it to allow FULL ACCESS to local drives.

Double-clicking on this icon opens the ICA Connection Center. The only 2 active options are in the server area - disconnect and properties. Clicking on properties shows only the client connection status w/statistics. No other options anywhere. Any other thoughts?

Sounds like you might have an old version of the Citrix client. Can you let me know what version you have?

I would suggest upgrading the Citrix client to the latest version as this setting should exist.
