I can remap the Client Drive Letters to other than the default ( V: )
But I need to remap them to be C: - D:
How can I do this ?

Should I change the Drive leeter assigned to the server to start from G: from example ..
and then change the default Client drive to be C: ??

Any help in this case ?

Depending on your citrix software version, you can choose driver remapping during installation, or by using the drive remap tool on your citrix cdrom.

Know what you are doing, because if this server has been in production for some time, running driveremap, can kill both the server, or a lot of apps, that have the c-drive hardcoded in it.

Best practice is to run remap only if needed, and directly after installing citrix, when no apps have been added to the system.

Hi,

When you build your server, then install Citrix, you should remap your drives at this point in time, then install all the applications, if you've remapped drives, then your users drives will be C/D/E etc.

Does this help?
Cheers,
Carl.

Now I already have a working environment ?
Can I do the remapping ?
is there any solution ?

As i said you can do it, but there is a big chance you will run into a lot of trouble.
If you insist on doing it, make sure you have an image of the server, for fast recovery.

If you don't have too many servers in your farm, you might want to recreate everything from scratch. Install a new server in the farm and configure it the way you want it (being sure to run the remap command before installing MetaFrame). If you have your datastore on one of your Citrix servers, move it to this new server. Once that is complete, remove your other servers from the farm (uninstalling Citrix MetaFrame from them removes them from the farm), reformat, and recreate the servers from scratch. Be sure to use the original IP addresses on the recreated servers so that your published applications, published desktops, and/or .ICA files can still reach the farm. This isn't much of a labor saver, but it at least preserves your farm structure and its licensing information while avoiding the inevitable headaches and hassles you will be in for if you try to remap drives on servers that are already in production.

Since you will no longer be using the same drive letters on the servers, you will need to go into each of your published applications and modify the application location to reflect the new drive letter.

Hope this helps.
