Hi,
I just took on a customer who lost his 11C ( bad SSC card) . He had no hard or softcopy of his database so we are redoing everyhing from scratch. ( its an 11C running 25.30)I have to take him at his word about some parts of his database
He has Digit manipulation tables to convert his DID numbers to match his network. for example DID 8510 is converted to DN 9510 - no problem for inbound calls
For his outbond CLID over his PRI he claims that each set gave out its own unique "manipulated" DID
- under normal circumstances the CLID table in ld 15 takes an NPX , an NXX and appends the DN of the phone to create the 10 digit CLID. IF I do that on this site I would give out for example , CLID NPA-NXX-8510, but he wants NPA-NXX-9510
The only way I can see to do this is to create a separate CLID entry for each phone ( 100+!) I think it would be a disaster to manage and dont think the previous vendor did it
Is it possible to program a CLID entry that only takes the last 3 digits of a DN and appends it to the NPA/NXX ?

that's tricky. i haven't programed clid to the three digit exten level, and i don't have a switch on the network that i can try it on, did you look at the features and discriptios to see if it's addressed. with the idc translator on an older switch i did resort to a clid entry for about 100 did's.. and you may be having your legged pulled. if your getting paid by the hour, then you just made a few more $
