Hello,
Any advice on how to proceed with resolving folowing issue appreciated..
Have a site with CLI table 0 set to send out 02555555718.
CLI 1 set to send out callers DN 57xx.
The ISDN30 was set to send default of 5710 if it does not recognise CLI being sent at time of testing.
Issue is that some calls when received display the default number even though a DCH trace shows it sending calling number as the CLID 2555555718.
ISDN30 supplier has tested with analyser and not seen issue with outbound cli being received so its all pointing back to the switch.
Switch is CS1K R5.5.
I have tested using same handset and dialling my mobile.
3 out of the 90+ calls were received with the default cli
of 5710. My DCH trace showed same number being sent out each time see below for good/bad trace.
ISDN30 has apparently had the presentation number amended to xx5718 but some calls still show as 5710?
Stumped.....

Just to recap on this,

CLID 0 is set to allow any sets (Non DDI to call 02555555718) as long as "0" is entered against that DN

CLID 1 is configured to allow the DID number to be displayed at the callers end, again as long as the entry of "1" was entered against the DID DN?.

I'm puzzled on the 5710 number. I'm assuming that this number is within your DID range?.

Is CLID 0 set to DIDN = NO and CLID 1 set to DIDN = YES?.

Sorry if I'm misreading your thread.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Sir

You have read my elongated version correctly...

5710 is the main number on the incoming ISDN30 BT bearer.
It has also unfortunately been given to the companies CEO, bad choice I know but this fault is my first dealings with company, prior to this all set up was done by the companies telco team in Asia.

Extra issue is that they remotely changed AC1 from 9 to 3, to accomodate 9xxx ddi range, but 9xx etc still works outbound.

Is CLID 0 set to DIDN = NO and CLID 1 set to DIDN = YES?.

Entry 0
HNTN 20
ESA_APDN No
HLCL 55555718
DIDN No
Class_FMt DN

Entry 1
HNTN 20
ESA_APDN yes
HLCL 55
DIDN No

I'm a little out of touch with the CLID tables, but I think the DDI CLID 1 needs to have DIDN = YES

In the UK, we have problems trying to get the DID or DDI to work because the numbering range starts with a "0". It's a game of trying to alter some of the full outgoing digits dialled e.g.

As you have a BT circuit, there is the additional problem of the type of exchange that the bearer is connected with as it's usually System X "Plessey" or System "Y" Ericson. The reason is that one needs "0" removed. Also, it's woth checking if the customer has paid for outgoing CLID to be sent out etc.

The details below are very old and from a guide I did when I was at BT many moons ago.

SETTING UP CLID ON EURO ISDN ROUTES
******* ** **** ** **** **** ******

** WARNING THERE IS DIFFERENCES BETWEEN SYSTEM X AND SYSTEM Y EXCHANGES **
** WHICH MAY CAUSE DIFFICULTIES i.e SYSTEM Y DOES'NT LIKE THE INITIAL 0 **
** THEREFORE HNTN WILL HAVE TO BE 1823 FOR EXAMPLE. **

** ALSO SYSTEM Y NEEDS TO SEE AT LEAST 8 INITIAL DIGITS TO RECOGNISE CLI **
** THEREFORE WITH HNTN - 1823 HLCL - 3455 FOR EXAMPLE. **

Sorry that was a typo
DIDN = YES on CLID 1

Issue is that on CLID 0 it works ok 90% of time but even using same handset dialling out over same route on same link it returns the ISDN default number 10% of time.
