Has anyone noticed any difference in the performance of the newer Caller ID Card NT7B75AAA, than the older version of caller ID cards NT5B41GA with lightning strikes?

Seem to be blowing quite a few newer version cards than the older style NT5b41GA cards.

Does anyone have a sloution on protection of these cards with regards to a particular surge protection?

Please list explicit part numbers and model numbers to certain types of recommended protection that you know will work.

Thank you for your everyone's time.

what country are you in, as in the uk we use krone blocks (237a) with standard lightning protection

Yes i was going throught them like hot cakes,Some one changed the card by hot swapping it, It would only take out one line on the card,line2 then i would replace it a week later i would replace it again maybe line 3 this time, never the same line.. I ended up changing out the cab, which was 4 months ago still fine..

wip- are you talking about 1 particular cabinet that keeps blowing cards, or cards in general among multiple cabinets?

Are you using any CO Line surge protection? (not running the lines through a power strip type)
I doubt the model would matter as long as it were an integrated, dedicated Telco style protector, such as:

We usually use the style listed above if we feel it is needed.

I have not used these- put panamax makes good stuff in my experience

Bkrike,

Lately its been in different cabinets. Yet I am watching one in particular. The one I have been recently watching I put a Porta System 504 px2 10 line protection with fuse number 75bcxn-230 on it and lightning still blew line card 1-4 out on it, not the 5-8 line card as it still is working fine. I just recently switched the porta system line protection out for a Panamax M8KSU-60 and two CO4x4 line protection units by Panamax that attach on top of the strip.

I have had no problem with these units, just trying to see if other had any similiar experiences. Also, wanted to know if CLID card product is getting cheaper in production of chips used?

Like Panamax.....yet wanted to see if Midwest is just not good on these CLID cards.

thank you for the input,
