Hi all,
I am having such a hard time with this trouble, when a user from my location dailing out to a conference number, user at the receiving end would hear a lound clicking noise for every 2 second though out the call, I'd replaced the PRI T1 CARD and have the Carrier tested T1 from there side, All tested result came back clean
I would like to hear some more suggestion as where to look for the trouble next?

Thank you,
Vietharry

have you checked the clock card because if it slips you will get clicking and popping noises during the call.

Hi
I did check the clock card and no error at all, clicking noise only come from CONFERENCE CALL not local or LD

do you use a third party to set up your conf? Maybe it is in there hardware and not yours. Have you tried just a conf call with your switch, also can you do internal with no problems?

I was on a conf call with Verizon 2 weeks ago, thought it was on my end, so I dropped off and called back on a cell phone. The clicking was still there. Who is the conf provider?
Do an LCNT on the loop that your call is on, if it's showing all zero's, it's probably not your issue.

there was an option that put a click on a conf call every 2 seconds.. prior to rls 18 it was a switch setting on the conf/tds post it was a software setting.. it was more of a tone then a click i guess.. couple of things to think about.. if it was a trunk it would not be just on conf, same is true about clock cards.. i would setup a conf, duplicate the problem.. trac the call.. disable that channel on the conf and repeat.. conf cards are used on transfer so someone should hear a click there IF it was a card and not a single channel..

find that prompt for notification of conf again.. if i had my cdb print out here i would help find it.

I'd received the complain from user calling to my location that heard the clicking noise, but not from conf call.

Do anyone have any other sugguestion as where or how to trouble shoot for clicking noise?
Please help

You might want to check the field wiring. We had "clicking" noises on several analog instruments and I assumed it was caused by a faulty analog card. Connections were possible but the clicking was driving the user a little crazy. I never had time replace. Finally I got a complaint about no dial tone from one of the "clicking" instruments. Turned out to be a wiring problem. It looked like it was a grouding problem (probably caused by rodents under the office space). We changed out the wiring and the "clicking" went away.

Hi All,

I did check the wiring, no trouble found at all, remember that this clicking noise only happen at far end, i also have analog trunk and LD T1 on this option 61c with call going out and comming fine,
The problem is that I can't seems to pinpoint where the trouble at, I'd have Verizon Business local carrier ran 2 stress test for the circuits, both came back clean with no error, I also replaced the PRI T1 card
Please help....
