This is a good one. I was playing with multiple email programs and with the forms files etc... But always by default mail program is Outlook with Exchange. Now whenever I click a "mailto:blablabla" link on a webpage or wherever, a hundred Internet Explorer windows open up. Default mail is set to Outlook. I don't know where or what to check. What a pain!

r u using "malus pumila" (scientific name for apple) by any chance?

no fruit here. Regular old dell laptop with win2k/office2k. It's something that I did. I was tinkering. I guess I'm lucky it's working at all!!!

in ur Win explorer, go to tools, folder options, file types and look for file type N/A; 1 of them will have URL:MailTo Protocol. slect that, click advanced, click edit and make sure it's set to ur mail app.

it should read something like
path\mail_app.exe 1%

also, under IE go to tools, internet options, programs and make sure email is set to ur mail_app.

olzo, check under options in OL for anything funny.

Nice thanks!!! By resetting the default mail program in IE, it actually added the N/A Mailto: in Win Explorer. You're a genius!!Steve
