Generally, SQL Server takes care of most the cleanup. You should check in the database files directory to make sure the MDF, LDF and NDF (if any) files were deleted. SQL Server cleans out entries in backup and restore history tables. You will have to manually delete any DTS packages or Jobs that run against the deleted database. References to the database or its objects in other databases must also be manually deleted - i.e., a view that references a tbale in the deleted DB. Terry L. Broadbent
