Cleaning Tape

Hi,

I am fairly new to this, How do you clean a single tape drive using arc serve version 7?

I only have a single drive.

You need to buy a cleaning tape for you tape drive.

Just insert the cleaning tape into the tape drive. The drive will recognize the tape as being a cleaning cartridge and will do a cleaning cycle. After the cleaning it will eject the tape. ARCserve has nothing to do with this. You will only see a tape alert message in the activity log.
This is the way ceaning works with ARCserve in single drive environments.
