Clean up Vector lines

I am drawing a map for a customer and the 4 way clover leaf is not meeting the straight roads when u zoom in very nicely. How can i earse and smooth one road into another in Illustrator CS2. Mine are over lapping and not doing smooth joins.

Without a visual to look at, I'd have to say that in general, working accurately with the pen tool will resolve your issues.
