Hello all,
I was installing Citrix Presentation Server 4.0 standard on a Windows 2000 Server IIS 5 with all the lastest service packs and hot fixes citrix, I choose all the components and everything installed but the "web interface for metaframe presentation server" but won't install and get this error: "web interface for metaframe presentation server requires asp.net", I installed this package from MS downloads: "Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1 Redistributable Package"
but istill get the same error when installing.
now seems like everything else seems to be installed fine with no errors, now the question is? do I need this package for citrix to run ok? Im going to be using nfuse for accessing Apps using a web browser.
thanks for ur help in advance.

thanks.

Quite simple this one. IIS was installed after you installed ASP. There are some registry entries that need to be done. Check the Citrix Knowledge base for this the instructions are there.

Thanks scott, I will check that out.

Here it is

Using the Aspnet_regiis.exe utility included with the .NET framework, configure IIS to use ASP.NET Version 1.1.

Go to a command prompt and change to the directory c:\windows\microsoft.net\framwork\v1.1.x

From the command prompt run the following command to unregister ASP.NET.

Aspnet_regiis -ua

From a command prompt run the following command to re-register ASP.NET.

Aspnet_regiis –i

To confirm what version has been installed run the command

Aspnet_regiis –lv

If needed, run a repair on the Web Interface Installation
