In the Citrix Web Extension install, it is asking about installing a SQL database. Should this connect to the Farm database that is on a different server, or should it have a standalone or NONE?? The documenation does not speak of a database. I am going thru what appears to be the last install to get web access working.

Are you installing NFUSE/Web interfaces or NFUSE Elite ?

Cheers
Scott

I am installing the Web Interface for Citrix. Particularly the Web Interface Extension. In the information I found it said to install Secure Ticket Authority, the Secure Gateway, and then the Extensions. None of my current CD's mention NFUSE. It is my understanding that it is no longer called NFUSE.

Are you fully aware of the difference between the "Web Interface", and the "Web Interface Extension" version?
(trying to figure out here, if you actually need it)

If you are installing web interfaces only and have no license things to add in then there should be no requirement for database info to be given. I am assuming that web interfaces is the new clothes for NFUSE elite.
So NFUSE = Web Interfaces
NFUSE Elite = Web Interfaces Extension

big assumption I know

What IS the difference between the two?? What is the standard everyone is using??

Citrix hired a new marketing woman, who decided (in all her whissdom) to rename all the products.

The full list is:

Citrix xP = Metaframe XP Presentation server
NFuse 1.7 = Web Interface 2.0
NFuse enterprise = Web Interface Extentions 2.0
nfuse Elite = Metaframe Secure access manager 2.0
CSG 1.1 = Secure Gateway 2.0
extranet = Secure Gateway 2.0
project pearl = Citrix Metaframe Conferencing manager
Project Bimini = Citrix Metaframe password manager

As for difference in WI versus WI Extentions; the extentions can go both cross farm, and domain.
WI can only go cross domain, with an existing trust in between.

For basic use, plain WI is good enough.
