Citrix - speed issues

We have just installed Citrix Metaframe XP and are experiencing very slow connections even over broadband as well as 56k dial up.
The server is a W2003 and the apps are Office.

Help please as this didnt happen at the old company on W2000 platform with a NT4 Domain controller.
