I have a CiTRiX server, running Win2K, but it is only service packed to level 2. My software manufacturer said there MAY be some issues with SP4 and my practice management software, which resides on a different server, so it is only at level SP3. I have gotten as many of the security patches as I can from MS, applied them, and all seems to be going well, but I am still afraid there are security holes that need to get plugged. That server notwithstanding, my real worry is the CiTRiX server and it's service pack level 2. I have been told that terminal services CRAWLS at a snail's pace when patched with SP3, but what about SP4? Are there really any issues with it? I am getting a little worried about my network... this thing is sitting there, a huge security problem. Please, and suggestions would be appreciated.

Setup a test machine, or make an image backup of your production servers anytime you plan on intruducing a new Service Pack, Feature Release or piece of software.

2000 Terminal Servers should always be SP3 or higher, do to the licensing & security additions that don't exist in SP2.

I run MF 3.0 on 2000 SP4 w/o any problems, and ran MFXP FR3 before w/o incident

Hotfixes should be applied as needed, not as precautions, i.e. don't fix it if it isn't broken.
