Hi,

I am currently building a Citrix Metaframe Xpa server Farm based on Windows 2000 os.

Is it correct to say I only require a base install of Windows 2000 server, follwed by Metaframe Xpa install with service release 2 for load balancing.

Do I need to apply service pack 2 before installing Metataframe XPa as you had to do with NT 4.0.

Thanks in advance

XPa installs the Load Management plugin by default - it's part of XPa.

I would certainly recommend applying whichever Service Packs you intend to run before installing MetaFrame - and also take an image of the server as a precaution (makes for quicker rebuilds, if necessary).

If all the servers in the farm are identical, you can then simply image the servers with the service packed O/S before installing MetaFrame. Makes the job much quicker :) CitrixEngineer@yahoo.co.uk
