Citrix and Access DB issues

Our clients are using citrix 8.0 client and launching Internet Explorer to connect to a sharepoint site. From here there is an Access database that was created with Office XP(through citrix) and can be opened through a local copy of IE. But when my remote clients attempt to open the database from the site through citrix, it will not open the db. Access will launch but states that it cannot open the database. Any ideas of why citrix is having trouble opening a database launched from a web site?
