Cisnet computer with no recovery disk

I purchased a Cisnet computer for my son with the intention of upgrading components, etc, but no XP home recovery disk was supplied. It does come with a "run once" progam which will allow you to create a recovery disk yourself - which did not work.

I really don't want to crack the case open until I have a recovery disk. Does anyone know if/how I can make one?
