I've installed CiscoSecure ACS 3.0 and have added in the sites for our switches and routers. I want to be able to login to these sites with a username and password i created instead of using the default cisco for username and password.

The first part works and i can login to the switch with a username but when i try to go into enable mode it wont accept the password. Any ideas?

How do you have AAA setup? Can you post that part of your config?

AAA client host name = some name
AAA client ip address = 192.168.x.x
Key = kjhfsd
authenticate using = Tacacs + Cisco IOS

privilege level = 15

Question - under arguments should i have something like permit running-config

or something along these lines?
Any advice welcome. The config on the switches/routers is ok because i can login using cisco/cisco etc.

Try adding this
aaa authentication enable console TACSERVER
