Cisco2950 is not booting

Hi All,

One cisco 2950 is not booting it just going to the rmon mode.When I tried to use xmodem command to transfer a .bin file it gives me the following error,

Unknown cmd: copy

Begin the Xmodem or Xmodem-1K transfer now...

I am trying to transfer the bootable file.

Is there a reason why you're trying to load 2900XL software onto a 2950?

Yup agreed you are trying to load an incorrect IOS version for the 2950 , it is "not" the same as 2924XL software .
