A user's Cisco VPN client was corrupted and we tried to repair, uninstall, and reinstall it. All of these processes keep failing when trying to remove the Deterministic Network Enhancer.

I have also tried to follow Cisco's manual uninstall instructions, but when trying to delete the registry key "DeterministicNetworks", it says "error deleting key". Also, when trying to install after attempting the manual uninstall, it still detects that an "older version" is still installed.

Any ideas?

TIA

Check to see if the DNE is still a service on the Cisco VPN adapter.
right-click on my network neighborhood

You should see at least two LAN connections. One will be the Cisco one.
Also, try uninstalling the Cisco VPN adapter from Device Manager.

Then you should be able to delete that registry key.

Brandioch - The version we are using is 3.6.4a. This version does not show an additional LAN connection in My Network Places (at least not by default). It does show DNE as a service bound to the interface if you view LAN connection properties. I have removed the checkboxes here.

Also, the DNE devices in Device Manager also give me a "cannot delete" error just as I receive when trying to remove from the registry.
