Hi,

I'm new to the forum and the world of network hardware. Due to a change in job I need to get across Cisco network architecture and do the CCNA certification, but I have to get a quick start first.

Can anyone refer me to a good overview of Cisco routers and there their place in the network?

Hi Peter

The best start is to get someone to fund an ICND course for you at a trainer such as Global Knowledge or Azlan. It is far from cheap, but you will get the information you need, and will get the grounding for your CCNA. Prepare for your exam with some hands-on or a simultor and a good text from someone like Todd Lammle (check Amazon.com for his tiltles) and test exams from boson.com or similar.

Good luck
