I have a client that will be streaming a live video feed using a Full T-1 line. I have a Cisco 1721 Router that will be connected with the T-1 Line and out of there will be going into a Netgear 10/100 16 port switch.

My client also needs to access 2 maybe 3 PC's that are behind the Cisco 1721 Router (He will be out of state).
The PC's behind the 1721 Router need to access the internet as well. My question is this. ConfigMaker Ver 2.6 by Cisco is the program of choice to configure this scenario. My questions are as followed:

1) Will I need to setup the NAT? if so, why?
2) WIll I need to setup a gateway in the 1721 router? if so, how?
3)The PC's behind the 1721 router will have a static IP assigned, as will the 1721 router. How do i set up a gateway in the router using Configmaker? ANy feedback will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

ConfigMaker is useful for first time Cisco users to get started. It can indeed set up the T1 interface, the internal interface, NAT, DHCP (so you don't need to run static IP on the internal LAN), and even Inbound/outbound firewall rules if you're running Firewall IOS.

ConfigMaker can do all of this with one catch. If there is a problem and you don't really understand basic router/firewall concepts or how Cisco IOS or it's CLI (Command Line Interface) works, you'll be in trouble and you won't know how to fix it. There really is no substitute for a true understanding of IOS, CLI, or how Routing/Firewall concepts.

If there is plenty of demand for something like this, I might do an article on how to do this from scratch and the fundamental concepts behind them.
