HI,

I want to know how to configure 1700 series router using leased line with PPP.Our network ID is 192.168.X.X and Wan ID is 203.199.204.X.Our Local Network Should not be able to access the router directly.

Can any one help me with the configuration

Thanks

Naveen

Do you want PPP or leased line? PPP is used for dial up connections. Leased lines are dedicated.

he wants to use PPP encapsulation over the leased line, possible to terminate to another manufacturer at the head end..

nav123: depending on how the remote side is setup, (are you terminating to an ISP?) just go into the "int s0" and type in "encap ppp" .. that'll changed the encapsulation to PPP, and depending on how the remote side is seutp, you might need to setup some authentication..
