Cisco Pix 506e

Hi All,

I am a complete newbie to Cisco routers/firewalls etc. I have a Pix 506e I would like to configure, I have connected the console cable, gone to Hyperterminal, but am unsure of what I am supposed to do next!

Sorry, this is probably the simplest question to answer, but we all have to start somewhere..........

Another poster has written a FAQ about how to get started on a PIX. Link follows:

Once you've configured your PIX as above, you should then be able to use the PDM program and manage and configure your firewall through a web browser. You can connect to the PDM as follows:
