Here is the setup

LAN A(1751)-[mdmA]-512KbLocLoop(Radio 250mi)-[mdmB]-(1751)-LAN B

Modem A is a 4 wire Baseband Modem (full duplex)
Modem B is a 2 wire Baseband Modem (half duplex)

24 hour BER test subs to subs had couple of BIT errors

The two LANs can see each other well but their are instances where data are being dropped even if the utilized bandwidth is very low like 40Kb only.

Provider said it is the router that is having problem.
Our MIS said there is something wrong with the DLL because the other half is full duplex while the other half is half duplex.

Any idea?

Your MIS sounds correct, but it is hard to really determine anything without sh int of the outgoing 1751 interfaces. Throttles, runts giants---also, what do the interfaces report the reliability as being? how can you tell packets are being dropped? Is lan a or lan b losing data? Can you post a show run and also show interfaces? How much data is being dropped, and when is it being dropped? Thanks.
