Cisco Net Assistant

Hello all,

Hope I'm in the right forum..

I've recently installed Cisco's Net Assistant to help with managing my Cisco gear. Upon connecting to one of my switches, I received a message stating if I wanted to convert my cluster into a community. Does anyone know what the pros and cons of converting to a community are?

From what I can see, changing the configuration settings from cluster to community essentially allows you to take advantage of the increased security provided with Net Assistant over what is offered with Cluster Manager Suite. It seems like a no-brainer to follow through on the conversion as it does not affect the switch configuration and also, this product seems to make CMS obsolete.
