Cisco IOS question

I have a 7206 cisco router when the router boots, it won't load the saved start-up config. I've tried different flash cards with different IOS, but it doesn't seem to matter. It just goes to the initial configuration prompt like its a new router.

Any suggestions...

do a show ver and check the config register.
im guessing its set to 0x2142

this would be bypassing your startup config everytime...

change the register to 0x2102 and that should solve it..
