I have installed the Cisco Documentation CD on Win2K/IE5 Platform. The home page launches O.K. When I try to access a link the page appears as several lines of random characters. Any Ideas.

Thanks in Advance

P/S The CD is ver July 2001

This *might* work.. if I recall there was a compatiblity issue with the database they use and windows 2K. Best bet is to get a newer disk. I have several so if all else fails, contact me offline..

:::USE AT YOUR OWN RISK::::
Uninstall any previously installed IOS Documentation files.

Run regedit.

If you are using Internet explorer 4.x
Find the key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\IE4\Setup\Path

If you are using Internet explorer 5.x
Find the key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\IE Setup\Setup\Path

Change the path value "%programfiles%\Internet Explorer" to the location of
Microsoft Internet Explorer on your computer, for example "C:\Program
Files\Internet Explorer".

Close regedit.

Install CiscoCD.

Have fun,

Thanks Mike

I have tried that and it still doesn't work. I have tried a newer release of the CD and still no joy

I'll keep trying:)
