Hello all,
Here is my situation. I had two 3 com superstack swithces on my network before, then had 4 Mega Bit Modems connected to them to extend the ethernet to some remote locations and worked fine.
I replaced the switches with 500 Express Switches and now the modems are unstable at best, they are sometimes up, sometimes very slow and I notice certain errors appearing on the switch on the same ports the mega bits are connected too such as duplex msimatch on this link, or access denied to the port
I know in smartport settings you can choose the type you want such as router, switch, destkop, guest etc.. they are set to desktop now, since there is no modem section, if I try to put them to router or swithc I get Spanning tree protocol errors
Thoughts?
