Big help needed on this one! Not Cisco trained but have a few questions on these switches, here goes! Have a 3650 switch, and need some Mitel phones to get power from certain ports, but it doesnt seem to work, checked the port, and seems configured to give power to devices that need power but doesn't....

Ok Vlans, on the 500's, need to setup a Vlan as i cant seem to get port tagging to work, but through the main management screen there seems no easy way of setting this up! Can anyone recommend an easy way of doing this?!

Another issue with the 500's is, after pressing the setup button on the front of the switch, i plug my laptop into port 1, my browser defaults to the management config screen, from here i change the swithces IP address, & password, ignore the smartports page, select no, then press the setup button on the switch, and I then get an alert on it, saying the device plugged into port gi1 is no longer connected and gives DHCP errors, am i configuring them right?!

Any help on the above Q's would be very gratefully received!!!

After the initial setup... The switch no longer acts as a DHCP server.

VLANs should be very easy. The GUI doesn't overload you with too many options.

Make sure the Mitel phones you are using are using the 802.3af standard for PoE, and that they are plugged into PoE ports. Some 500 switches only offer PoE on certain ports.
